Alexander Kleider
Director Alexander Kleider (born October 29, 1975 in Böblingen) is a German documentary filmmaker. He studied after training as a state-recognized educator in Schwäbisch Hall communication sciences in Berlin. After an internship for assistant director at the Neue Filmproduktion Berlin (NFP), he founded the DOK-WERK filmcooperative together with Daniela Michel, which moved to Berlin in 2014. Their joint debut film Eiszeit was awarded the title “Wertvoll” by the Filmbewertungsstelle in Wiesbaden. His documentary “Shadow of Table Mountain”, also produced together with Daniela Michel, was nominated for the 2010 Max Ophüls Prize. The film also appeared at numerous international film festivals, including the Durban International Film Festival and the Margret Mead Film Festival in New York. His feature film documentary Berlin Rebel High School, which was released in 2016, won the Audience Award at the Austin Film Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary Film for the German Film Prize 2017.Alexander Kleider is a member of the German Film Academy and the European Film Academy. Brian Flanagan, lives in Barcelona since 2010, where he is an actor, comedian and singer. “Born and bread and buttered in Ennistymon Co Clare”. Brian is also the cousin of the renowned Irish singer and musician Sean Keane.
