Ian Barry is parent and carer to ten year old Pierce, who has Down Syndrome. Ian has a background in Social Care and has been an active member of Down Syndrome Wexford since shortly after Pierce was born. Ian and his family are also actively involved in Special Olympics  Wexford. Ian is the treasurer of the Parents Council of Our Lady of Fatima Special School. As Ian, (a singer/songwriter) is the parent in the home; he has extensive first-hand experience of service provision for people with Down Syndrome – especially in his son’s age bracket.
